A Andrews Sisters were the class action of singing sisters: LaVerne Andrews (contralto; July 6, 1911-May 8, 1967), Maxene Andrews (high harmony; January 3, 1916-October 21, 1995) and Patty Andrews (lead; natural February 16, 1918). 100% were born around Minneapolis, Minnesota of Greek and Norwegian extraction.

It began their career when imitators of an earliest successful cantabile class action, a Boswell Sisters. Fallowing singing by having various dance orchestra & touring in Vaudeville, they foremost come to national attention using their recordings & radio broadcasts around 1937. Their music entertained Allied troops worldwide in the period of World War II, sold war bonds, appeared in many films, & performed for soldiers serving overseas. In the time period of this period it recorded numerous songs by owning Bing Crosby. Their popularity was such that when a war it found that a few of their records experienced actually been smuggled into Germany after the labels experienced been changed to scan "Hitler's Marching Songs."

When a brief hiatus when a war, a sisters regrouped, performing inside clubs throughout the United States & Europe. Their go appearance together was around 1962 on The Dean Martin Show. Laverne, world health organization got cancer, retired soon fallowing; she died 5 years late, inside 1967 at a age of 55.

Fallowing an extended silence, them living sisters got something of the comeback whenever Bette Midler recorded a handle of their song "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy." Maxene & Patti appeared each together & individually throughout the Seventies, by having Maxine releasing a solo album within 1986. Throughout their hanker career, a sisters experienced sold complete 60 million records. A class action was inducted into a Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 1998. Per prevent of Maxene's life within 1995 she was reportedly estranged from either her immature sister, Patty, a today resole living Andrews sister.

LaVerne & Maxene Andrews come interred in the Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California.
